Can VLC play fullscreen on other than main display?

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

Can VLC play fullscreen on other than main display?

Postby star-affinity » 12 Jul 2005 18:28

Hi!

I'm on a Mac with Mac OS X 10.4.1 and VLC 0.8.2.

Wondering if it's possible for VLC to playback video fullscreen on a screen other than the main one (the one with the menu bar).
That'd sure be handy.

Thanks in advance!

OMG!
It was that simple!
I found it out myself.

VLC uses the screen that displays the controller for full screen!

Amazing! =)

Sorry for bothering...

It works great in Win2k too. I simply drag the VLC window to whichever display I want, and click full-screen. My second display is rotated 90 degrees, and VLC still behaves correctly, although it looks silly. I have nVidia GeForce 6800 card with two 1600x1200 LCD displays.

okay but how do you get the controller to the other windows, I'm using split screens with wall image and on full screen it only does the one that the controller is attached to not the other two windos I have open.

thank u

Put the video window on the desired display. Use the contextual menu you get when right clicking in the video window. Select Fullscreen. I think that should do it.
Don't use PMs for support questions.
