change default preferences by modifying C code

Postby oscarml » 25 Jul 2005 18:56

Hello,

I'd like know how to change the default settings without using the X-window. Is there any file that contains all the default values of the options that appear in the preferences? I want to change MTU max size about RTSP mode.

thank you very much

i guess you are using linux : the file is ~/.vlc/vlcrc . All items in the preferences file can be changed using a command line option. The full list of command line options can be shown using vlc --longhelp --advanced (--help-verbose).

I think he meant wxWindows instead of X-Window.
We should really consider using the name 'wxWidgets' everywhere now (source code, web site, documentation, ...)
