Radeon 7970 series Video Quality Settings Question

In windows media player i can run select settings using like "Edge-enhancement" in my CCC panel and see noticeable differences in image quality while playing video.

In VLC player i notice no changes in any CCC panel settings... if i go up or down or move any of the noise reduction settings.
I am wondering if there is a trick to get it working in VLC?
I have a blueray optical drive coming in the mail and i would really like to use VLC to play the bluerays....(with CCC settings... etc)

Thanks Looks like i will have to pay for software then... Windows Media Player doesnt do blueray?

I said "Nope " for the question "if there is a trick to get it working in VLC?"

And Blu-ray Discs playback is currently experimental feature. Not for typical users.

okay alright.. I was doing a follow up question.

I am testing Windows Media Player Classic and it seems to be working (CCC settings).
Hopefully BluRay works when i get my bluray optical drive.
