Unable to start VLC 0.8.2

Hi!
I am running Fedora Core 4, and i have installed VLC from RPM and all the dependencies.

VLC works when i lauch the movie from the terminal like this:
vlc name_on_movie

But when i try to lauch it like this:
vlc
it stops on:

Problem almost solved

I used the rpm packages from rpm.livna.org

The VLC gui works now, but the playlist buttons and the preference button isn't working
When i press this buttons i get:

[00000259] skins2 interface error: No suitable dialogs provider found
[00000276] main dialogs provider error: no dialogs provider module matched "any"
[00000259] skins2 interface error: No suitable dialogs provider found

which debian version are you using ? VLC packages in sarge, etch and sid work fine and have the wxWidgets interface
