VLC 1.1.11 Issue

Postby ditroia » 20 Jul 2011 13:07

Hi,

Since I've upgraded to the latest version, when playing some MPEG4 AVC Part 10 .MKV's [notably itunes rips, AKA WEB DL], and having Gpu acceleration enabled, Causes Blocky video. When I disable GPU Acceleration it plays fine. These vdeos played fine in earlier versions with GPU acceleration and I have changed nothing else.

My PC is running Win 7 HP 64 has an i7 2720QM an 555GT and 8GB of RAM, with the latest drivers.

Cheers

Dave

Could you open one of those files in tool called Mediainfo, switch to text mode and paste the video codec info here? (profile, levels, reframes etc.)

That file shouldn't be problem to GPU decoding. If you open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start playback, what kind of messages you see when issues happen with GPU decoding?
