Arbitrary Slice Ordering not supported in Baseline Profile

Postby Moriquendi » 16 Aug 2011 08:32

Hello,

I am trying to send live streams to an SIP telephony where the media engine supports h264 baseline profile. I've tried using x264 baseline profile on my application side but appereantly x264 doesnt support ASO in Baseline Profile which is something the SIP telephony does. I am not sure if this causing the problems but so far I couldnt come up with anything better. I was wondering if there is a way to enable baseline profile with ASO enabled in vlc?

Thanks.

On a second thought, I dont think it should matter whether VLC uses ASO or not while encoding, the SIP telephony should be able to decode it either way.
