Using VLC with remote control, key assign problem

Hi,

I've a remote control for my PC (Ubuntu 11.04)

I set most of the keys I need like volume increase and decrease to up and down arrows, but I couldn't set play/pause. When I press that button, nothing happens.

Also this play/pause key at remote control is the same play/pause at my keyboard and at most of the keyboards.

I want to assign play/pause VLC operation to this play/pause key at remote control.

How can I do this?

Also: I'd like to keep space key for play/pause because I use it when watching in front of the PC.
