Videolan 1.1.10 windows 7(64bit) DVD Play issue?

Postby aipragma » 18 Jun 2011 01:31

First I dont know if this change was intentional or not.
If it was intentional, then this not an issue, only a discovery of a change in features.

VLC 1.1.9 was able to play DVD's that were stored on a hard drive by just selecting the folder of a hard drive stored DVD.

VLC 1.1.10 is not allowing that to actually work. It seems its hard-coded the DVD://X: (X = drive letter).
So after trying to select a folder of a hard drive stored DVD, and then pressing play, it comes up with
no DVD in DVD://X: .

If this is a policy change of sorts, no problem, I will use something else to play them.

Thanks,
Aipragma

Yes, it is a bug. The MRL part doesn't update itself.

Use "Open Folder" for this.
