Selecting subtitles from the command line

Postby pgpoulsen » 02 Jun 2011 14:53

Hi

I have copied all my movies to my computer and they then have them stored as .iso files. I'm trying to make a script that can start my movie and use the following command:
cvlc -f --no-dvdnav-menu --sub-language=da,en mymovie.iso@1

Now, the problem is that for some movies the subtitles doesn't show. If I cycle the subtitles using 'v' I can always find the subtitle but I would like if it worked straight from the command line. Note that it always is a bit weird; e.g. when I want danish titles for Lord of the Rings, I have to cycle the subtitles until I'm at Norwegian.

I'm not sure if --sub-track=<integer> or --sub-track-id=<integer> is the answer.

Anyone any ideas? Let me know if any more info is needed (it's vlc 1.1.9).

Yours
/peter
