VLC streaming server bandwidth and transcoding

Postby smile » 20 May 2011 11:55

Hi every body,

I use the VLC streaming server , I create stream with simple line commande like this :

vlc --ttl 12 -vvv --color -I telnet --telnet-password admin --telnet-port 1111 --rtsp-host 2222

the streaming is working , every thing is good, but i wanna know some theoretic points especially, what's the bandwidth used by default by the vlc streaming server, and what's the transcoding type used too and why some times we
and how can I change it, because i tried to change the taranscoding type and the bandwidth taht the server send with, but i remark nothing, there're no changes ??!!!

Can you please explain to me those important things , and thank you all in advance :))
