Saving film

I´ve received a film that I only could see the subtitles using LVC(no subtitles with Windows Media Player). I would like to know how can I save the film, with its subtitles, in a DVD. By the way, the extension of the file is: "...xvid.cd1.avi".

You have also .sub or .srt file with same (...xvid.cd1.) name?

"Burn.xvid.cd1.avi" and "Burn.xvid.cd.srt" are the files I´ve got.

The .srt file is the subtitle file. You can use tools like http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Avi2Dvd http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DVD_Flick http://www.videohelp.com/tools/The_FilmMachine in case you want to make DVD from that.

Thanks for your help. The soft you suggested didn´t work. No record and no error message.
I ask you if it´s possible to record a video using the "record button" (advanced controls) while playing the same video.

Why would you want to do that? DVD Video supports selectable subtitles which you can select during authoring. And VLC record button only does as-is recording so it doesn't add subtitles to output video.

Í´m sorry about the confusion.
On the first post when I said that I could see the subtitles what I meant was that I could see the subtitles file (,srt), but not the subtitles on the screen during the playback.

So if you drag&drop the subtitle file to VLC after you have opened the video, nothing is shown?

Hi Fernando,
The 2 different files (movie and subtitles) must have exactly the same name (apart from the extension .avi / .srt)
But I notice yours don't have exactly the same name (there is an additional "1" in the movie name) as you wrote this :

"Burn.xvid.cd1.avi" and "Burn.xvid.cd.srt" are the files I´ve got.

Maybe if you rename "Burn.xvid.cd1.avi" to "Burn.xvid.cd.avi" (drop the "1") then it will work.
