VLC 1.1.5 sound no picture in Vista Home

I can't get VLC 1.1.5 to work in vista, I just reinstalled Vista (for other reasons) and it still don't work, I get sound but no picture. Every format has same results. I've never had any problems with XP and I refuse to use Win Media for anything. I have the same video card as with XP (ati radion 7000). Any help?

The same problem occurs with my setup. The problem is that when I change the video output I can play some movies I couldn't play with previous settings but I CANNOT play the movies that worked before. In other words thus far it seams to me that different codecs display only with some (but different) outputs.
What makes me sad is that the same files play just fine with any output selected on the 1.1.4 version. I thought new versions are supposed to fix small bugs not introduce big ones.
