MPG4 wont play

Hi
Looking for some help,VLC will not play an MPG4 file, there appears to be 3.6GB of data but nothing happens?
How can i check if the file is corrupt, or fix it?
Any comments appreciatted.

Open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback and then paste the resulting log here.
Also upload a SHORT sample of a problematic file on some file sharing site like Rapidshare or Megaupload. Use DGsplit and read here about how to do it: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=57724&p=193335#p193335

I have set up and recorded the log file, however it appears that i dont have permission to attach a file (maybe) or i dont know how to do it (tried cut and paste).
I will try as you suggest using DGsplit and uploading, thanks for the advice so far.

Are you able to play this sample with any other player ? If so, which one and if it's a DirectShow player using which splitter ?

Because I've tried many players on Windows and none of them can play this nor I can demux it. It seems to be a strange MP4 container.
