TV streaming

Postby PORAO » 10 May 2005 04:14

I want to stream in a LAN environment with a TV capture card (AVERMEDIA avertv 203 chipset BT878). LAN is composed of 2 pc's connected by a router. there are two problems:

1.-We don't now if this TV card is supported by VLC
2.-If VLC supports this TV card: how to stream it in our LAN net?

We can stream other video formats with VLC like divx with high quality, but when we try to stream whit the tv card no video or audio is played in the other PC

We can also set the TV card as source, but we can't tune any channel

The program we use to watch TV is K!TV

Our OS is Windows XP

If any one could help us....

Thanks!

Read it, tried it, didn't work.

The guide also doesn't specify where to put in the commands it lists.

The guide is vague in more than a few places.

Good luck PORAO. I'm impressed you got another video source to stream. I'm trying to do what your doing but over a wireless network. I may try the dvd thing and see if I have any better luck.

Thanks for the idea :)
