Postby arj1981 » 12 Sep 2010 02:09

I have the latest version of VLC. I press record on a random FLV file while it is playing and nothing happens. How does it work? Thanks in advance for answering this ?.

I see the debugging log and I ran that while I was recording but it didn't say much.

-- logger module started --

Is this what ur looking for?

How do I get a log after trying to push record?

Open VLC
Load FLV
Tools Menu->Messages->Verbosity Level->2
VLC Video to front.
Press Record

You should see technobabble filling in the Messages window.
After failure, press Stop and then copy your Messages, this is your debug log.

The important part is the 'Verbosity Level' setting. Default is 0, 2 is what you need.
