Can't open media using 'Open Folder' option.

Hi There

I am experiencing a problem with the current version of VLC v1.1.3.0. When a right-click and go Open Media> Open Folder> select my folder containing videos in both current and sub folders. The VLC will not play the videos. I did not experience this problem before it always worked just fine. I checked all settings under preferences. I am not sure if I overlooked something.

I browsed the forum and FAQ but was not able to find any thread with in regards to this. If anyone can help please do so.

This is extremely ridiculous.
VLC should be able to do a simply thing such as adding a folder to the library!

Edit:
Even when I drag music files into "Media Library" it only shows up in the "Playlist" section...

I use this option a lot. I hope they will look into this ASAP.

If you use open disc and browse for file. That doesn't work either. It will get you to your folder but won't open it to shoe any files.

So, if we want to add FOLDERS easily to our library, we need to get pre 1.1.2 versions?...

Well I am going back to 1.1.1 since I need this. I can't wait for them to fix it in 1.1.4 if ever.

In VLC 1.1.2 attempt to open folder resulted in error, telling that assertion, related to directory separator, failed. viewtopic.php?f=14&t=81145&start=0 Now we see results of the promised fix - "Open folder" doesn't show assertion error.

Solution: get 1.1.0
For some strange reason, it works perfectly fine here, but not in the latest 1.1.3
