deinterlacing mode does not keep?

Hi.
Vlc 1.1.1 is working better than earlier 1xx versions, full screen mode on TV (Ati theatre mode - sec. monitor) is working now, too. Thanks!

But why does not 'deinterlacing mode'-option in preferences work? That is, I put 'linear' there and it stays there OK, but every time I start a file, vlc is playing it as 'discard', and I have to change it manually to 'linear' (video - deinterlace mode - linear). Deinterlacing itself is on, but the mode is wrong. (?)

win xp x86, sp2; vlc 1.1.1 from 7-zip version

I deleted all in 'Application Data\vlc', and made then my adjustments again, and now it is perfect.
