Constrained proportions when resizing window

(I looked around for this feature, but couldn't find it, so...)

I'd like a feature that when you enable it only let's use resize the VLC window to always match the proportions of the video.

I am not getting distorted aspect ratio when I'm resizing now if you though that. I do get to keep the aspect ratio of the video. However when you resize you get black borders on the sides unless you manually set the window size to match the video perfectly.

If you enable the setting I'm proposing, if you resize the window horizontally for example, it would automatically also resize vertically to fit the video. In other words, it will always resize in two dimensions, regardless of which side/corner you are extending.

I'd like to see this feature too. The default size for most of the videos I watch is small and I like to resize the window so it's much bigger. But, unless I'm lucky and manage to resize it perfectly, this involves a lot of adjusting to remove the black bars.

Please add an option to lock the aspect ratio when resizing.

I'd like to detail this suggestion a bit on the behavior for each side/corner, most of which is obvious but still...

Top left corner: Expand up and left.
Top right corner: Expand up and right.
Bottom left corner: Expand down and left.
Bottom right corner: Expand down and right.

Top side: Expand up and right.
Left side: Expand down and left.
Right side: Expand down and right.
Bottom side: Expand down and right.

Note that this behavior would be an option. Default can be off so it works the way it does now.
