Volume Control

Postby Megaman42xX » 28 Jun 2010 23:04

Hi, I've recently downloaded the new version of vlc media player and I've been having a weird issue with my volume control. Whenever I use the quick keys on my laptop to change the volume it also changes the volume inside of vlc. So instead of just changing the overall volume of my computer it changes double, this can be a little obnoxious and I'm wondering if there's a way to fix it back to how it was earlier. Also the volume won't change in vlc if I don't have focus on the window. And if it helps in the previous beta (1.0.6 I think) When I went to fullscreen viewing it also wouldn't change the overall vlc volume but now it does. Any help would be nice, thanks.

i found a simple workaround - if the VLC window is not in focus then turning my leyboard volume knob, or using my remote control volume up/down buttons only moves windows volume. VLC colums stays constant.

if VLC window is in focus then both volumes move.

so, outside of full screen mode, the contols are usable, even if bugged.
