Videolan daily Build does not play a .pls file any more ?

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

FYI:
While toying around with vlc ( Mac OSX 10.3.8 ) I found out, that all of the daily builds of vlc 0.8.(2 ?)I tried ( three of them including the current as of 13th March 2005 ) arent able to open a playlist file containing a link to a http stream.
I still am able to open the stream successful using the commandline interface, but not using the GUI. Wether I manually enter the URL in the open dialog or just try to open the file - which works very nice in 0.8.1.

I dont know if it should be possible - but it doesnt work like in the relase version.

I've had playlist problems with it as well. When I try to save a playlist, it doesn't write the list itself. The file only contains "#EXTM3U" or something along those lines. (The file itself is truncated to 9 bytes. :()

Out playlist structure has changed and there are still many bugs pertaining to that change.
Don't use PMs for support questions.

Will it still be able to play a standard .m3u playlist? I don't really care if it saves it in a different format, so long as I can still open the old files.
