VLC Audio through HDMI Goes to 5.1 automatically. No Stereo?

I got strange problem.
I start movie and it goes through HDMI to my TV set. However, the sound (through win.. -> HDMI) automatically is in 5.1 mode. I would like to have it in Stereo as default.

I can switch it during the movie run, BUT I would like to have it automatic.

Windows XP settings for audio shows that there are only 2 speakers (Stereo), as it should be

Any solution?

You can override the option.
