Here are some screenshots of the control console I'm using for the moment:

So far it tests compatible with IE7, GC, and whatever version of MF I have on my computer.

ETA: Mozilla Firefox 3.5.7

ETA2: Just upgraded to 3.6.3. Still works like a charm. :D

I was wondering if the seek and vlc.input.length functions are still broken?

Just follow this link.

As an update, here's a screenshot of the stripped down controlbar in IE8 on Windows Vista. A list of current features and the image library can be found by following the above link.

I finally got a .zip archive set up, so you now have that download option.

If anyone knows how to drag and drop images in non-ie browsers, I could use some pointers. Currently the newest version only seeks with the slider in IE.

The previously mentioned version is no longer available because I'm currently adding several new features--primarily the playlist features and converting from html tables to css divs for the control panel. Looks much nicer and there's less extra crap to deal with.

While the slider seeking bug in non-ie browsers has been fixed(, at least for MF and GC), there won't be a new version available until I finish the playlist stuff. You can click through to the blog if you like, but it won't be very helpful right now. For the moment, you're still better off with the revolunet controls if you want to be fancy.

Due to a request on the blog, the version mentioned above has been re-uploaded and links to all versions repaired.

The newest version of the web control panel should be completed and available for download on June 1st. Some new features include complete compatibility with Mozilla Firefox 3.6.3, Google Chrome 5.0.375.55, and Internet Explorer 8; disabling the video display when playing audio files(only available in IE); auto-detect of file length; ability to select audio and subtitle tracks for video container formats; ability to autodetect and select aspect ratios; fullscreen mode (lacking control panel); a media library; and a fully editable playlist menu which supports playing by clicking the item; and addition and removel of individual playlist items.

If anyone who downloaded one of the older versions noticed a bug in the stop functions, it should be fixed in the next version.

Do you mean install it on your computer or on a webpage?

I get most of my traffic for the Control Panel from here, so I thought it'd be simpler to clear some things up before people follow the link. The example page is built using the latest version. It cleared up a lot of bugs and wasted space from the older versions. It's much easier to embed in a webpage, ie: it resizes and can be placed anywhere. Yet I still get almost equal downloads of the older versions. Do yourself a favor, use the newest version. It's clearly marked on the page, but make sure you get 092. The other links are for archive purposes.

What with vlc 1.0.x no longer being maintained, I'm upgrading the control panel to 1.1.0. The old versions will remain up, and I will provide support for bugs, but there will be no new features.

Due to significant bugs in the 1.1.0 plugin, I'll be putting out one final version of the web control panel(VWCP) for 1.0.x. It will support playlist functions, and expose the playlist to the clientside, allowing the user to play any video from the playlist with a simple click. It will also allow more advanced configuration options, such as more flexible filepaths for image and video files.

This version will be released 07/01/10.

You can now download an early release of this version at the link in the OP. Please report and bugs so that they can be fixed before the final release.
