Newbie: Help!!! VLC on FC3

Hi,

I just installed my FC3, still pretty new to it as i'm trying to give up on anything mircosoft. I folllowed the steps to install VLC but it seems to have a problem;

$ tar zxf <package name> (this parst not problem)
