Second VLC crashes

Postby jobeagle » 04 Sep 2009 09:30

Hello,

ich have a problem with the actual Version 1.0.1:
(Version 0.9.9 had no problems with this configuration ...)

I use two VLC-Players (one for a mpeg4 Video - .m4v File, the other for Sound with mp3-playlist) with some Plugins (f.e. --rc, --marq). The plugins-directory is set to "...\programme\Videolan\vlc\plugins".
The Start of the first VLC (mp4-Video with Maquee-Text) works.

If i start the second VLC, set the mp3-playlist and "Play", it crashes.

This happens on Vista and XP!

i hope for your assistance, regards,
Bruno

Hi VLC_help,

by me the problem occurs everytime i set the plugins path in the preferences Dialog (because i use JVLC) and wants to play a mp3-File with a second VLC.

You can replicate it, if you set the plugins path in the dialog to the plugins-directory and try to play a mp3-File with this player.

As a workaround, now i set the plugins-path from the Java-Application with: "--plugin-path=c:\\Programme\\VideoLAN\\VLC\\plugins" and "--no-plugins-cache" and it works.

so it is good for me...

thanks for your help,
Bruno
