Video window disappears

Postby Sjoekie » 22 Jul 2009 23:03

Hey all,

I've been experiencing a strange problem with VLC 1.0.0 on my macbook (2008 edition, 2.0Ghz, 2 Gig ram, leopard 10.5.7).

The video window simply disappears when leaving full screen when playing a video (any video) on my system.
By clearing the cache and some trial/error I was able to detect that the "Always on top" option causes the problem.

Steps to reproduce:

- Take a clean VLC 1.0.0 install.
- Select "Always on top" in the video tab in the preferences.
- Completely close VLC. (important, close the application, not just the windows!)
- Reopen VLC.
- Double click to enter full screen, then double click to leave full screen. Now the window should disappear (sound should still play).

A simple work around is deselecting the "Always on top" option.

Is anybody else experiencing this problem? If so it might be useful to file a bug.

With regards,

Jeroen

Hmm, works for me. Same setup. This reminds me of a bug we fixed within VLC 1.0 Release Candidates... I'll keep it in mind when preparing VLC 1.0.1 and see if I can reproduce it with more thorough testing.
