Frame by frame : how to go backward ?

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

Frame by frame : how to go backward ?

Postby CCharless » 11 Jul 2009 16:09

VLC (1.0.0) allows to see a movie frame by frame.
The shortcut is "e" to go 1 frame forward but I would also like to go 1 frame backward.
How do I do that ?

This is not implemented. Going backward is actually a lot more intricate than going forward with most codecs and containers.

OK, thanks for the answer.
Do you know if there is any plan to implement that on the near future ?
