issue with playing mpeg file in vlc-1.0.0-rc2-20090531-0005

I have uploaded a .mpg file of 8.39 minutes, in a split 7z archive, here:

I admit that it's pretty poor quality, maybe because of transfers, but the thing is...

this .mpg does play in microsofts latest mediaplayer11 (the default download version - no special codec)

and this .mpg blocks after 24 secs in nightly build vlc-1.0.0-rc2-20090531-0005-win32 (and earlier)

I cannot open the file. The split archive contains file sandy-denny_(studio-live)_the-north-star-grassman-and-the-ravens.7z which cannot be opened.

It was my mistake. Hate it when that happens. Apologies.
I have re-uploaded this file, to the same location.
This time double-checked it, by downloading it again. It opened ok.
If you get it with a downloadmanager, it will come down quick.

A bug report would state that this file will not playback on the VLC player after 24 seconds.
Nothing in the FAQ.
Will look into the VLC 1.0.0 testing part of this forum next time.

Remux the file (you can use tools like TMPGenc or mencoder). It should work after that. So something like

mencoder "sandy-denny_(studio-live)_the-north-star-grassman-and-the-ravens.mpg" -of mpeg -oac copy -ovc copy -o output.mpg
