PVR 150 TV Tuner

Postby kb7ypf » 15 Mar 2009 21:30

Hi-

I have a Vista OS, 32 bit with lots of ram and storage, Nvidia 9500 GT - 1 Meg Vid ram.

I just installed VLC 0.9.8a.

It work works great..........Except I don't have any audio output when I goto "Open Capture Device" and select my tv card. The Video is fantastic. MY Problem is....NO AUDIO OUTPUT.

The TV card works good under WinTV and Windows Media Center.

Any help would would be greatly appreciated :D .

I tried to change settings, but nothing seems to work.

Thanks in advance.

Can you see the audio device on VLC? If not, then VLC doesn't support it. (this might change some day)

HI-

Thanks for your response.

I can see "default", "none", "line in at real (blue), "Mic in front panel", and "mic in real panel". That is all that shows up.

I played around with each just hoping something would work, but it didn't.

Any ideas?

Use some other software for capturing.

Dears, I have the same issue, only "Default" and "None" in the audio part, but I have the tv card in the video drop-down list.
Have you found any solution ?

I've tried the older drivers solution and indeed the card appears in audio device but no sound is played and the video quality is miserable.

Finally, I'm running on windows 7 for the mce part. And I gave the problem that the card is locked by the mce sometimes, does someone have a solution ?

Anyway, if there's no solution yet, could someone advice me an analog TV card with hardware encoder that could be used flawlessly with mce (vista or 7 experience) and vlc for both video and audio :)

Thanks a lot !!
