Display MP4 embedded artwork
I have a bunch of MP4 files with embedded artwork (album art) which displays in other programs (iTunes, for example), but not in VLC. Would be cool if VLC would be able to read and display the embedded artwork metadata.

I second that.I have a bunch of MP4 files with embedded artwork (album art) which displays in other programs (iTunes, for example), but not in VLC. Would be cool if VLC would be able to read and display the embedded artwork metadata.
VLC is always trying to download the artwork from the web and doesn't take care about the embedded ones.
JB check your PM's for samples.

We'll work on this, but 1.0.0 has vastly improved that part so far.

1st though which came to my mind: hacks
Make sure you guys use your own gif / jpg /picture decoding because last thing you/we want is a security issue in an embedded art.
