online streaming video freeze

I'm having problem with playing an online video through sdp file, i.e., video is played correctly, but after a while the screen freezes.

demux module "live555"
RTP subsession 'video/MP4V-ES'
decoder module "avcodec"
video output module "vout_directx", but opengl also freezes

The messages I receive are:

Unchecking drop late frames didn't resolve the problem.
Increasing the buffer size seems to delay the screen freeze. With a buffer of 250ms the screen freezes within 12h.
I've also tested with vlc version 0.8.6i, 0.9.8a and 1.0.0-git-20090112-0005. The problem seems to occur in all versions

VLC memory usage gets very high after 12 hours?

Memory usage seems to be stable.
It looks like it is related to the buffer. For example, with a buffer of 500ms initially the video is delayed for exactly 500ms, but after a couple of hours the video lost its delay and images are displayed almost instantly. Is it possible that the buffer runs empty after a while?

There is some short of bug in VLC but is very hard to figure out where it is.

Allright, my guess is to look at the buffer processing ...
I've got a workaround though, automatically restarting the stream after an hour or two resolves the freezing video problem.
I hope the next version will resolve this issue. That will be awesome!

activating clock-synchro seems to solve this problem.
