Just updated an older version of VLC to 0.9.8a, and as always, it remains my preferred media player.
One minor inconvenience is that unlike previous versions of the player, when opening VLC using Ctrl-O or manually by selecting the "Media" button followed by "Open File", the default folder of "My Documents" is always presented, not the previously accessed folder like before.
For example, lets say I select "new video #1.avi" in D:\Video Files\New Vids\November...
Perhaps I view the entire file or maybe I've just opened it to quickly preview it.
Once I stop the file and open vlc again to access another file from that folder, I am brought back to My Docs and must go though a few hoops every time to get back to D:\Video Files\New Vids\November
Anything I can tweak in the settings to correct this?
