tips/gotchas when recording from two different sources

Postby rramsey » 15 Dec 2008 19:06

Hi,

I have both an internal Hauppauge capture card and an external usb capture card. As far as I can tell, vlc seems capable of capturing from both at the same time with no problems. Has anyone else been doing this and can offer some tips or examples of things that haven't worked?

The one part I have not tested yet is the audio capture, mainly because my test computer doesn't have speakers hooked up. Does anyone know if it will capture the different audio streams correctly?

Thanks,

Bob

If you can see all audio and video capture devices under DirectShow section, you can capture them. Just start multiple VLC instances.
