VLC 0.9.8a - GUI Problems maximization and splitting

Postby redlabour » 05 Dec 2008 09:10

Hi,

there are 2 Problems since 0.9.7:

1. With UltraMon http://www.realtimesoft.com/de/ultramon/ it is no longer possible to maximize the played Video on the secondary Monitor (Profile). The Video is maximized but moves to the first Monitor by itself.

2. After upgrading every Video is playing in a seperated Window. The controls are in another Windows.

I hoped it was fixed with 0.9.8a - but the Problems are still there. Windows Vista 32-bit SP1

Any suggestions?

I don't remember there was a 0.9.7 release on Windows...

Nor a 0.9.8a yet.

Computerbase is one of the largest and reputable IT Websites in Germany.

And my installed VLC Version is clearly saying it is 0.9.8a.
How could this be?

An official VLC 0.9.8a Win32 build has not been released yet - current version is 0.9.6. There are Win32 builds available, does not mean they have been officially released though. When the main VideoLAN site has been updated with 0.9.8a builds then it is released.

You can find testing builds here:

In "Tools > Preferences", click "Reset Preferences" button.
Or delete VLC application data folder located in "C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Application Data\vlc" (on XP)

Return to “VLC media player for Windows Troubleshooting”
