HELP!!

I've been using VLC for quite some time and everything worked perfectly. All of a sudden, I get a grey shade. I can still see the picture and hear everything but there is no color. Can someone please help?

Have you tried deleting/resetting your preferences? Is it possible you've somehow altered the colour balance in video effects (if, for example, you put saturation as low as possible that would explain why you could only see a grey screen)

i've resetted my settings numerous times.. went thru the forums and tried so many different options.. but unsuccessful..
