navigation for video collection

Postby G.o.D » 25 Aug 2008 13:39

hello,

would it be possible to use videolan as a navigation tool for a video collection?

what i have in mind, is making something like a dvd-menu, but without the dvd limitations for resolutions and fileformat of the chapters.

sorry, i am no native english, and i am struggling for the words to describe this.

what i meant is exactly what comes on a dvd of a tv-series, where you can select a single episode out of a menu.

so i could use some dvd authoring tool to produce it, but dvd images are limited in resolution and aspect ratio.

what i want is to build a 'dvd image' with a menu containing a collection of 1440x900 movies aspect 16:10, so i can give a single file, or maybe a zip archive or whatever to someone else and say, use videolan to watch it.
