For the record, I asked ilkerdogan to post here. It is my opinion that new translators should make contact with the existing or previous translators of a project. I've contacted the Turkish language maintainer also (Adem Gunes), and I look forward to getting a response from him, but in the mean time I've created a Turkish language section for VLC on pootle.locamotion.org for ilkerdogan and others to start experimenting on.

There are some corrections to be done.
Like the translation for "empty folder" is not "klasörü boşalt"; it's "boş klasör". "klasörü boşalt" means "empty the folder".
Some parts of the preferences panel is not translated at all.
