HTTP interface/server posibilities

Postby jpstrikesback » 16 Apr 2008 20:13

So,

If this is possible I'm gonna make it.

I'd like to have a remote web page control the local copy of VLC (for streaming) with the http interface enabled, so one web page sends http requests to the localhost. SO if you have VLC installed, if you go to this page somewhere on the WWW you can have a sweet interface for your local copy (I have further reasons like adding stuff to describe the video encoded, time markers etc...all added to the remote host's db)

Possible?

Thanks for any input,
Jon

J-B,

Thank-You!!

Excellent, and exactly what I need (just perhaps extend it a little bit to allow streaming/recording/VLM :) ).
