INSTAL VLC ON REH4

hello,
i have douwload vlc for redhat, and i want to install it.
i decompressed this file vlc, and tape in the console, ./configure, after i tape make, and so make install.
a lot of error append, and no vlc executable was create,
what is the procedure to install vlc? what package must i installer before ? how to know what package don't have I?
it's a really project to install vlc......

How about the ./configure procedure?
If there is no error, try ./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-wxwindow again, and then make and make install.
If you lack of some dependent package, it will hint you.

ok, i have install vlc on a fedora core 7,with "yum install vlc", on connecting my computer on the net.
but i don't manage to send a video on udp.....i v try to send with stream/rtp ( or udp) /192.168.0.4:1234, it don't work on the disant computer. I can ping 192.168.0.4.
so i have send on the local adresse , on 127.0.0.1 and a other vlc, on the same machine, open stream/network, port =1234, nothing apparaid..... i set play local and nothing do.........

maybe in the configure ????
must i give some parameter to the configure to be ale to send something on stream ?
