seeking and stopping via commandline arguments

Postby tsr » 10 Feb 2008 22:19

Hi :)

i want to use vlc to extract audio from a video file. using sout to write a file works just fine. but i also need to seek to a certain position where the "ripping" begins, as well as specify where it stops. mplayer has the commandline arguments "-ss" and "-endpos" for this purpose. does anyone know if there is something similar for VLC ?
