Using dual monitors with VLC

Postby muzicman82 » 29 Jan 2008 15:41

Hello all,

It's not very often that I need to post here for a VLC issue or question, but here goes...

Can I setup VLC to play fullscreen, perhaps in video overlay on monitor 2, while the controller remains on monitor 1? I use VLC for media playback in a production environment where monitor 2 may be a video projector or large screen display, and monitor 1 is my Windows desktop. This would be a SUPER feature if it could be done.

I tried setting the video output to DirectX Video, and setting the monitor in the list, but it didn't work. I tried a non-copyprotected DVD. Perhaps it would work with AVI or MPG files?

The computer I tried it on has Intel integrated graphics for X38 chipset I believe.

Any info would be great!
