Still Can't View Subtitles! (anyone know why?)

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

Also try out the new test version
http://www.videolan.org/pub/videolan/te ... .8.0-test1

It has several bugfixes for subtitle files, and the subtitle dialog is also updated a bit.

Are you guys even doing anything about this problem. Im running XP and OSX 10.3.4 and your subtitles aren't working.
-I had problems playing the subtitles as well on version .7.0
i downloaded the latest nightly release at http://vthr.via.ecp.fr/~videolan/
as it is suggested by a moderator on another part of this forum (which has a search option and is fully browseable and comprehensive) and got it working. It took me about 15 minutes.

Somoene posted here a good "diagram" with screenshots from the proggie.

Those steps are the exact same ones i did, and it's working now: XVID format, .sub subtitles.

Try reading the forum calmly. These guys developed the best multi-platform player around (im on windows xp, and its the bestest windows player ive ever used) and they take suggestions!! and they DO work on them!! Keep it up VIDEOLANNERS. ::o:
