volume bar position

Postby LocutosOfBorg » 08 Sep 2007 11:44

I have VLC 0.8.6.c from freshrpms insytalled in my Fedora 7 system.
The interface shows a strange position for the volume bar, that is almost inaccessible. Compiling the sources without any patch lead to the same result.
Does someone know the reason of this?

The people who have built your VLC did wrongly by compiling with wxgtk2.8 instead of wxgtk2.6

Thanks for your answer :)
Considering the number of people who uses VLC on Fedora, I'm surprised nobody has noticed it before.

I am also experiencing this problem. I am running openSUSE 10.3.

Had a look at your webpage, but the distributables seem only to be for RedHat. Are there any solutions for SUSE?
