XML DTD update
When will the DTD be updated so that layouts don't require to have all items inside a group and not directly in the layout, although VLC can display them also if it's not the case, just complaining about wrong xml? Additionally groups are deprecate and replaced by panels aren't they?

No problem for me, I just need someone to check that it works fine. To do that, simply modify the DTD on your installed VLC, modify a skin so that it doesn't use the useless Group tag inside the Layout one, and make sure the skin loads fine, with no additional warning...When will the DTD be updated so that layouts don't require to have all items inside a group and not directly in the layout, although VLC can display them also if it's not the case, just complaining about wrong xml?
I'm pretty sure there won't be any problem, but it doesn't hurt to double-check.
Yes they are, feel free to use only Panel elements in new skins (once the DTD is changed, of course).Additionally groups are deprecate and replaced by panels aren't they?
Groups will still be supported for backward compatibility though.
