How to get bigger Video Resolution

Postby gamaral » 31 Aug 2007 20:12

Does anybody know if there is a way to change the video capture resolution?

I have been fighting with this for a couple of months now, I can't seem to change the video resolution to ANYTHING it always defaults to 320x240, I know the card I have can go up to 768x480 and the feed coming in is 768x480.

I have tried v4l-width=768 and :v4l-width=640, :v4l-height=480, :v4l-size=768x480 settings always with the same error message "Invalid width 0" and "Invalid height 0".

I need to stream good quality video from a capture card to a remote box. 320x240 just doesn't cut it.

Driver: bttv
Card: Hauppauge ImpactVCB (bt878)
v4l-info: http://pastebin.guillermoamaral.com/10705

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
