Sure do... not.
Do you know that you can use WMP9/10 dlls in VLC for WMA/WMV files to have the same quality ?I couldn't see using all those players. I'm trying to cut back myself. I personally use VLC and Winamp the most, Real Alternative for RA media and WMP for WMA/V files.
If VLC had Winamp like features or "feel" I could probably ditch it. I just find myself using Winamp to loop beats, cause I'm into scratching and converting batches of mp3's to wav's even though I can use a proper audio editor to do that I find it pretty easy to do within Winamp.

I've no idea what that means. That's probably a linux command.Add --codec dmo to your command line or shortcut to start VLC.
No! It's a Windows command as Linux does not natively support either Direct Show or Windows Codecs.
The --codec dmo switch can be added to a VLC shortcut where the command would read: "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" --codec dmo
or from your Run menu or from a DOS box, but the complete path to VLC must also be entered, like:
"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" --codec dmo This command example assumes that VLC is in the default directory.
The switch allows Windows DMO codecs to be used for WMv or WVC-1 instead of FFmpeg.
HEY ALL! I AM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well, I was off studying, hence my spending no time here at VLC forums... Doom9 and HydrogenAudio forums are fun too, you must check them. That reminds me, where did DJ go? I first noticed that he was missing when I was actually able to get a couple of comments in on the "VLC media player for Windows" topic without the usual long line of "DJ already answered" threads. Anyway it's good to hear that your thread is going so well, mine is not doing too bad either.
