VLC on widescreen projector!

Postby mabuse76 » 01 Aug 2007 17:27

Hi!

Actually I´ve got 2 problems.

Problem 1;
I´ve got my Hitachi PJ-TX300 connected on the VGA port as the secondary monitor and a standard 4:3 montior on the DVI connector. When I run a video on my monitor in a window and fullscreen on the projector it flickers on the projector. The movie is running smooth on the monitor but not on the projector. This doesnt happen with HD 720p movies, they run smooth.

Problem 2;
When running a video on the projector in fullscreen it doesn´t use the whole surface, it only uses a 4:3 bit of it leaving bits on the side blank. This means that I only get around 70" of screen instead of the whold 120" inches that the screen is.

Would be very thankfull for help!

Markus

Have you played with aspect ratios and cropping ? (2)
Have you deactivated Overlay ? (1)

I changed to OpenGL video output and now the standard divx files are moving on smoothly ...
