Help with Amino STB Aminet110

Postby vadimas » 26 Jun 2007 16:12

Can anybody help me with RTSP to the STB Aminet110?

I can do RTSP of mpeg files with VLC and view them with VLC client perfectly well. Also I can start live555 and view the mpeg files with VLC client as well. However, on my STB Aminet110 all what I can see is just black screen. I was trying to type the link into stb Fresco browser's address bar directly, like rtsp://myIP/mpeg-2.mpg nothing. The same effect with JavaScript:
AVMedia.Play('src=rtsp://myIP/mpeg-2.mpg') ;

You need to send a transport stream (myvideo.ts) I use the LIVE555 program.

Try UDP in Videolan.

:sout=#duplicate{dst=std{access=udp,mux=ts,dst=239.1.1.1:1234}}

On the 110 url:

igmp://239.1.1.1:1234

I tried UDP, on 110 it shows very choppy and distorted video (actually, not even video, just separate small rectangulars, moving around the screen).

How to make this transport stream (.ts) with live555? I need mpeg-2 video files to VOD or strem.

After I converted my mpg files to ts with "MPEG Streamclip", I can play them now, when use live555 program. However, sometimes I'm getting Amino error 23 'PMT status changed'. What does it mean?

What would be VLC command line (in Windows XP) to use VLC as a video server instead of LIVE555 program?

One more problem with Amino Aminet110.
When my video files in TS format are on the server in the same local network as STB (eg., STB is 192.168.1.10, and files are on 192.168.1.20), I can more or less play them with rtsp://192.168.1.20/movie.ts . However, when my files are on the some remote server with ip eg. 206.x.x.x and I try to play them with rtsp://206.x.x.x/movie.ts I'm getting black screen.

If you're using VLC to stream the files, that's normal. VLC can only do RTP/RTSP which is over UDP and can't go through NATs.

What should I use then as stream server to go through NATs ?

btw, I can see this file with 'vlc rtsp://206.x.x.x/movie.ts' on my local machine (ip like 192.168.1.30) perfectly well.

So looks like the remote server handles RTSP TCP stuff correctly on the server side, VLC handles it correctly on the client side but the Amino doesn't. So you're basically stuck I guess. You should check with the Amino people.

The distant server may be blocked by either your router and/or your ISP.

Working with a neighbor or friend using the same ISP try streaming to/from them.
You may need to open up a range of ports on your router. Do you have a DMZ address you can assign to the Amino?

I can view the file on the distant server (and I even tried different servers) with vlc on different computers, different networks and different ISP perfectly well. It is only STB Amino where I can't view it.

Hello,

I am new to the iptv world from Belgium. I have purchased an Aminet125 and a used Aminet110. I have signed the NDA and got the jmacx tutorials. I would like to setup a demo VOD server. Do you know where I can find a tutorial describing how to configure VLC + Live555 ?
Your assistance will be seriously appreciated.
Kind regards.

Gee
