On2 VP6 (newest Flash videos) works!

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

Isn't this great?

On2 VP6 (newest Flash videos) works!

Postby The Claudio » 18 May 2007 18:16

I got the latest version of FFMPEG and compiled it. It handles even those --please stay polite-- propritary Flash videos (.FLV)[/i] with an On2 VP6 codec. :-) :-) :-)

I also tried to compile the lastest VLC with the latest FFMPEG but didn't succeed so far. Anyway....

That means: VLC 0.9.0 can play On2 VP6! ... AFAIK ;-) ... :-D

Btw. YouTube uses an older flash version, that works with the current release too. But a popular google-censored youtube "clone" does so.

So tell me, isn't this great!

In 0.9.0 you can feed VLC with a Youtube URL and it gets by itself the video.
