buffer for all files

Postby Mr Faber » 25 Jul 2004 16:25

Is it possible to integrate an option to change the size of buffer for playing.
It would be very usefull, especially for files on networks (netbios etc.) or DVDs.

Yes, there are many cache controls available. Open Settings -- Preferences, click the Advanced checkbox.
Then, in the left-hand frame of the window open Modules -- Access (or access2 if you're working from a new post-0.7.2 test build). You'll see files, cdda, etc., with cache values for each when you click on them.

Thanks, it works but it seems to be buggy. If you increase the prebuffertime, the time which is shown in the statusbar is buffertime ms to high.
E.g. if you use a buffertime of 5 seconds and start a movie the time in statusbar starts directly but the movie not until 5 seconds.
