How to Snapshot (jpg file) from IPCam (MPEG-4)

Postby goku2409 » 13 Apr 2007 22:36

Dear All,

I'm newbie here and Looking for your advice and help :)

I did snapshot on demand from IPCam with Motion-JPEG is no any problem,
I just grab jpeg file from IPCam directory, which it's JPEG-frame base.

but now I'm having difficult to take picture (snapshot) - jpeg file from IPCam with MPEG-4 codec. - under Linux OS - JPG file needed to be grab from LAN.
This MPEG-4 IPCAM has http and RTSP port for live streaming,

Anyone has any idea to snapshot the MPEG-4 live video (to JPEG file)?

Thank you alot for helping me out !!!

Maybe ffmpeg will be better for your needs

Something like ffmpeg -i rtsp://ip_cam/stream.sdp -vcodec png -vframes 1 -an -f rawvideo -s 320x240 swing1.png
Комп не выключать!!!
